Grayscale’s Founder


Our founder Marx Melencio was awarded as the 2008 Most Inspiring Entrepreneur of the Philippines by the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, which is headed by the country’s presidential consultant on business Jose Concepcion III, who is also the principal of RFM Corporation. Also:


• The first video on the left is Marx Melencio’s story. This video documentary was produced by the Asia Pacific Development Center on Disability of the United Nations. They present and hand out copies of this video in seminars and conferences around the world, and these conferences are about the role of ICT in providing gainful business and employment oppurtunities to people with disabilities; and


• The second video on the left was created using photos and video clips that were taken at the United Nations Global Conference on ICT Oppurtunities for PWDs (persons with disabilities) and at the recently concluded 3rd Filipino Technopreneurship Summit, which was held in SMX Mall of Asia on Feb 19 2014 GMT+8 — Marx Melencio was invited at this event as a guest speaker and key panelist, along with Diosdado Banatao of Tallwood Venture Capital, Manny V. Pangilinan of PLDT / Smart and other founders, innovators and CEOs of the top ICT corporations, tech companies and IT start-ups of the Philippines. This event was participated by more than 600 local technopreneurs and start-up IT business owners, along with more than 7,000 educators, students and other participants from various private and public sectors of the country.

Barely a year after our official business registration in Manila — From 2005 to 2006:


• Our freelance consultancy team of 4 work at home moms and dads grew into a formidable global ICT consulting company of 87 employees, 7 local and overseas partner companies each with their own staff of 50 to 100 employees, 62 telecommuting independent subcontractors, 2 Manila-based head offices, 7 provincial offices across the Philippines and long term contracts with 11 prominent overseas software corporations and financial institutions.
